Holographic Projection

Designer: Balazs Galambos

For more than a year and a half I have been working on a machine which produces holographic images by projection. I developed a new patented technique to reach this. Until now a prototype has not been made. Unfortunately, most parts of it were custom made, because they can not be found in stores. The components are so specific. The prototype worked so fine, (according to the calculuses) that I decided to make a better one. For that I need a new helical form (spiral), which is almost identical to the mathematical shape I need. This shape is basically the main part of the machine. This is the space (square) where the images appear. The holographic images appear by projecting them from a projector over the spiral. The spiral is a simple mathematical shape, easy to prepare with a machine, but rather difficult to make it with hands. That is the main reason why I decided to apply to the competition.
